RAS Chapter Meeting

There were 6 IEEE members present.
We created a Nominating Committee to decide on officers consisting of
- Dr. Wen A Cebuhar cebuhar/@prodigy.net,
- Srinath Kodali kchowdary/@cs.stonybrook.edu and
- Dr Andrew R Sass arshacker/@aol.com.
Nominations will close on December 1, 2022. Election will be December 15, 2022.
The election will use the IEEE on line voting process.
In the mean time, the interim officers are:

- Treasurer: Shel Lipsky
- Recording Secretary: Andrew Ritter

Dr Andrew R Sass Presents…
4-Wheeled robot using the ESP32 CAM with WIFI complete duplex communication and a Arduino Mega for robot control and robot sensor control.
With an Arduino Pro Mini used as a dedicated OLED display driver.
Mounted with several components including a navigational module & an articulating arm holding a camera.
The captured feed was then fed to Open CV to identify color cards.
The robot can be manipulate by both remote controlled or autonomous scripting.
It also uses an Xbox controller to drive & manipulate the the camera by panning & tilting.
The codes were interwoven through several interfaces using Javascript, HTML & Python for the Web display and Open CV & C & C++ using the Arduino IDE.
