The purpose of this event is to present a simplified discussion on Local Area Networks (LANs) and Firewalls with some discussion of the ISO OSI model and the different protocols used in networking. We will then discuss how the LAN connects with the outside world – the Wide Area Network (WAN) and Cloud and how the flow of information is controlled between the LAN and the WAN.
