The Awards Committee is responsible for the Section’s awards program. The Long Island Section of the IEEE issues up to seven awards annually to recognize outstanding individuals that have made significant contributions to the engineering profession. The Region 1 Awards Program recognizes professional/technical excellence and major accomplishments and contributions made by Region 1 IEEE members.
