Happy Spring!!! We have started 2023 with a lot of enthusiasm and vigor. March was a busy month for the Section and we sponsored many events such as a the Heat Pump Seminar, the Automotive Drive Technology Lecture and Cafecito Time at Stony Brook to name a few.

The next major event for the Section is the RF and Microwave Symposium and Exhibition. This Microwave Theory & Techniques Society (MTTS) sponsored event will be held on Wednesday, April 19th from 9:00am – 8:00pm at the Radisson Hotel in Hauppauge, NY. The Symposium includes lectures, workshops, exhibits and meals all for the low cost of FREE… yes, that is correct, it is a free event. However to participate, you must register at https://www.ieee.li/microwave/. Please view the enclosed flyer and I hope to see you there.

Shortly after the Symposium, prepare to attend LISAT (IEEE Long Island Systems, Applications and Technology Conference) on May 5th at NYIT. For more information visit https://www.ieee.li/lisat/. We are looking forward to continuing the momentum which is where YOU can assist with helping us to secure energetic volunteers endowed with a positive and collaborative attitude to help us operate the Section.

In conclusion, as we strive to make the Section effective and serve its members to meet their professional needs; all members of the IEEE Long Island Section are welcomed to attend the Executive Committee meetings.
