Recap of the

2018 IEEE LI Power Electronics Symposium

2018 Summary

The second annual Long Island Power Electronics Symposium & Exhibits was held on 2018 November 8 from noon to 8 PM at the Hauppauge Radisson located at 110 Motor Parkway, Hauppauge LI. All area professionals involved in all sectors of power electronics were invited.

At the event, 43 companies showcased their products and services in a 41-table exhibit hall packed with attendees, while two technical lecture tracks took place in separate chambers. After a complimentary networking lunch, the lectures were kicked off with a keynote address by Timur Shaftan, Accelerator Division Director at BNL, where he introduced us to the world's brightest synchrotron light source that supports 1,300 scientific experiments each year.

The official attendance count at the Symposium was 432, including lecturers, exhibitors and general attendees.

The conference was well organized and had a good selection of speakers and a large exhibitor base - great job!!!
Gregg Fremed, Cobham

Everything was organized and we had an even better attendance this year. I think the team does a wonderful and professional job promoting, planning, organizing and facilitating this event.
Ann Marie DeLuca, Crowley Associates

A very good mix of exhibitors and lectures. Made a few new contacts and found some information regarding a couple technical and compliance issues at the office. Will certainly go again next year and will recommend a few colleagues too.
Arthur Lekstutis, Biodex Medical Systemsr

I thought the event went very well, very well organized.
Dennis Carrigan, BC Systems

The presentations were excellent, as was the venue, food, and networking opportunities.
Gary Cachules, Consultant

This was an excellent symposium. It was well run and well organized.
Evan Mayerhoff, GES High Voltage

Great job!
Ron Bruno, RBS Electronics

Wonderful job!
Carol Doscher, Modular Devices

Overall show was excellent and very well organized, great educational seminars, as well as networking, appeared to be a very good turn-out lots of engineers and technology vendors. AAAAA ++++ I will tell more of my customers it is a worthwhile event to attend...
Gary Hoffman, Zippy/ADG Electronics

Nice meet & greet with other power electronics people, interesting contacts and some good opportunities.
Roland Hametner, GES High Voltage

I was pleased to meet many of the vendors who supply components to Zebra for our devices. Excellent event!
