Refund Policy

1. General Policy Information

  • If a registrant is unable to attend the LISAT conference for any reason they may transfer the registration to someone else (e.g., a colleague) for the same conference (i.e., same date[s] and location[s]).
  • If a registrant who is an Author is unable to attend the LISAT conference for any reason they may transfer the registration to someone else (e.g., a colleague) for the same conference (i.e., same date[s] and location[s]) provided that the substitute will present the paper, and the substitute is a co-author, familiar with the topic (see clause 2 below).
  • Registrants who cancel their registration for any reason (including the denial of a travel visa due to delays or other issues) will receive a partial refund according to the following schedule:
    • Registrations cancelled more than 30 days before the event  will be refunded 80% of the registration fees.
    • Registrations cancelled less than 30 days before the event will not be eligible for a refund.
  • Important note for failed visa applications: Notification must be received by us in writing (email or fax) not later than 30 (thirty) days before the symposium starts for refunds to be eligible. Cancellations received after this registration cut-off time will not be eligible for refund.
  • No refunds are granted for “no-shows”.

2. Author Registration and Author’s No-Show Refund Policy

  • In the case of a contributing author/presenter, registration should be accomplished by the ‘early registration’ date. f the presenting author's payment is not received, the paper will not be included in the formal conference proceedings and will not  be submitted for possible publication in the IEEE Xplore database.
  • In case where author/coauthor is considered a "no-show" (i.e., no registered author/coauthor is present at the conference to present the paper), then the paper will not be included in the formal Conference proceedings and will not be submitted for possible publication in the IEEE Xplore database.  No refund will be granted in this case.

3. Transfers and Substitutions

  • Attendees are allowed one substitution request per LISAT registration. If you would like a colleague to replace you at the conference, email your request to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. and the substitution will be processed. Arrangements for registration fees transfer will be done by the registrant or his organization.

4. Processing of Refunds

  • Refunds of registrations will be processed within 30 days of the conference.
