Anyone interested in the business or law aspect of technology who would like to learn about the basics of Intellectual Property (Patents, Copyrights, and Trademarks).
ABSTRACT:
This lecture will be an introduction to the fundamentals of intellectual property with focus on the following objectives:
● Provide an overview of Intellectual Property, including the basic differences between Patents, Trademarks and Copyrights
● Discuss the role of IP rights in promoting innovation
● Provide a brief overview of Research Foundation/Com-pany Invention Policy
LOCATION:
This lecture will be held in room 250 in the Light Engineering Building at Stony Brook University.
